In the past month, there have been various rumors related to iPhone 12 series but the one that raised many eyebrows was about Apple's plan to ditch in-box accessories for the base model. A new report from TrendForce has corroborated those claims as it mentions Apple is set to release iPhone 12 without any charger and wired Earpods.
The iPhone 12 lineup will arrive with 5G connectivity that will bump up the pricing significantly. We know that iPhones are a usually expensive piece of gadget to own and with this increased pricing, they will surely cost a lot more. This is the reason Apple is looking for ways to keep the pricing as low as possible and has come up with the idea of ditching in-box accessories. The rationale behind the idea is said to be that people have adapters and earphones lying around their house from iPhones they owned in the past. If someone wishes to buy a new one, he will be able to do so through online and offline stores. Some reports suggest Apple will also sell a new 20W adapter separately.
The report goes on to mention iPhone 12 lineup pricing details. If true, the iPhone 12 is set to be expensive than iPhone 11 even after coming without any of the usual accessories. Here is a look at the alleged pricing details:
- iPhone 12 between $699 and $749
- iPhone 12 Max between $799 and $849
- iPhone 12 Pro between $1,049 and $1,099
- iPhone 12 Pro Max between $1,149 and $1,199
It should be noted that these price ranges are for the base variant. These models will consequently cost more for higher configuration variants. This surge of pricing because of the usage of OLED display panels and 5G connectivity in all the four models for 2020. As far as the launch is concerned, it is confirmed to get delayed by a few weeks with reports suggesting October.
