Google announces Kids Space for Android tablets

01 September 2020 0

In an attempt to make Android tablets kids friendly, Google has announced a dedicated section called Kids Space. It is a space filled with content that is appropriate for kids aged 9 and under. The good thing is that this space will offer personalized content recommendations so that kids can have fun at the same time.

One important thing to keep in mind is that Kids Space will not be limited to kids' tablets like most of the other kids-focused modes. It can be implemented in any Android tablet, even if it is a premium flagship offering. This is simply a dedicated space that can be accessed anytime you want to give your tablet to kids.

The Kids Space will feature content spread across videos, books, and applications. All of these will be personalized depending on the preferences of a particular kid. Their interests will need to be selected in the beginning while setting up space for the first time. It should be noted that every content shown in the space will only be a recommendation. It means it will be up to parents and kids to choose if they actually want to use it.

As of now, Kids Space is available only on the newly launched Lenovo M10 HD Gen 2 tablet. Google has said that it will soon be seen on other tablets that will be launched around the globe. However, there is no specific timeline for that yet.
