Samsung is currently on a hardware launch spree with a bunch of new products spread across different categories. It made its newest foldable phone Galaxy Z Fold 2 official alongside the Galaxy Tab A7 and Galaxy Fit2 fitness tracker but that's not it. There are two more hardware devices to talk about: Galaxy A42 5G and Trio wireless charger.
The Galaxy A42 5G is the cheapest 5G smartphone released by Samsung so far. It has kept most of the details under wraps but has revealed few crucial ones. The smartphone sports a 6.6-inch OLED display with a tiny dot-like notch. There are minimal bezels on all four sides. The back panel features a quad-camera setup with a square-shaped camera module on the top left corner.
The phone does not have a fingerprint scanner on the back suggesting that it will have an in-display fingerprint scanner. It has been shown only in Black color but we can expect more color options. Samsung has said that it will reveal more details “closer to its launch later in the year”.
As for the Wireless Charger Trio, it is a wireless charging pad capable of charging up to three devices simultaneously. It is a direct successor to Wireless Charger Duo with charging support for one more device. It is priced at EUR 99 but details regarding charging speed have not been revealed yet.
