A new OnePlus device with model number KB2001 has crossed the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). The past reports have concluded this phone to be OnePlus 8T and now this certification poses a big hint at the imminent launch.

The listing first spotted by an Indian tipster Sudhanshu and later backed by another leakster Abhishek Yadav who further shared some additional details as well by referring to the Geekbench listing. According to the database listing, the OnePlus 8T is going to be powered by Snapdragon 865 processor and not the very new Snapdragon 865 Plus processor that has overclocked CPU and GPU speeds. Nonetheless, the Snapdragon 865 processor is still the latest flagship processor and it delivers great performance. The tipster adds the phone is going to carry an 8GB RAM.

OnePlus is rumored to have OnePlus 8T in the making and it could launch as soon as this fall. A few days back, we got a chance to see a possible full-fledged look of the device, thanks to the teardown of the OxygenOS 11 Beta 4 done by the experts, and today, Android Central is throwing some crucial details via its “exclusive” report by citing its insider source.

According to the tech publication, the OnePlus 8T is coming with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. This is the same screen size as OnePlus 8’s. The report cites the source and mentions that the OnePlus 8T could come with four cameras at the back, where 48MP is the primary lens joined by a 16MP wide-angle module, 5MP macro, and a 2MP portrait lens.

The report further notes, although OnePlus 8 also has 48MP, the OnePlus 8T is going to have a new imaging sensor that would deliver better photos. But previously, the teardown of the OnePlus Camera app had suggested the OnePlus 8T could come with a 64MP primary camera. Well, we may find out about this soon.

The report can further confirm that it will run OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.

Pointing out the remaining specs to be predictable, the report states the OnePlus 8T is going to come with Snapdragon 865+ processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The report does not talk about the battery capacity, though the past finding had suggested the phone may come with 65W fast-charging tech.

The report also sheds light on the launch timeframe of the OnePlus 8T, according to which it could launch by the end of this month or in the first week of October.

The Chinese manufacturer launches two flagship series every year, one being the iteration to the last year’s model and the other comes as T-series. This trend started from OnePlus 3T and it appears that OnePlus is keeping its dual-flagship release cycle intact this year as well.
