Multi-user support for devices running Realme UI based on Android 10 is coming soon

08 September 2020 0

Realme UI is well received by the users, thanks to its features that have made it more likable. But there are still a couple of features that the UI does not offer. One of them is multi-user support that Realme UI has failed to offer even when the same support was released by Google for Android devices years ago.

But it is great to see that OEM is finally adopting this change. Realme launched the Realme UI based on Android 10 with the launch of the Realme X50 5G earlier this year. So, this custom skin is still pretty new and will gain more features as time passes. So, let’s enjoy them whenever they come to you.

According to a recent post by a moderator on Realme’s community forums, multi-user support will soon make its way to all Realme devices running Realme UI based on Android 10. The feature is helpful for users who share their phones with others and need to keep their data and other stuff safe. The multi-user support ensures that every user gets their own profile with their own set of unique apps, wallpapers, and files. This will further ensure the privacy of each user even when they are sharing the same phone.

Once available, you will be able to make user profiles by heading over to Settings> Users& Accounts> Multi-user> Add user. The feature will also add a toggle so that you can quickly switch user profiles or switch to them whenever you’re handing over your phone to someone.

You can follow the community forum post and look at the screenshots shared by the moderator there.
