Next Apple event confirmed for September 15

08 September 2020 0

As it was speculated yesterday, the next Apple event has officially been confirmed for September 15th. It means we are exactly one week away from the day when we will get to see some new Apple products. The event will take place at Apple Park and will kick off at 10:00 AM PDT which will obviously be a virtual keynote.

This is the event Apple is expected to announce a bunch of new hardware products headlined by the iPhone 12 lineup. It will be the first-ever iPhone series to come with 5G connectivity support. There are rumored to be four models including two iPhone 12 variants and two iPhone 12 Pro variants. All the four will come with OLED display panels which will be another first for the series.

Other hardware products expected to get official at the event are the new iPad and Apple Watch Series 6. The former is expected to be the new-generation iPad Air variant. The smartwatch will be an upgrade over the currently available Apple Watch Series 5 that was revealed last year. Some are even speculating that we will get to see AirTags, a smaller HomePod, and over-the-ear headphones.

It should be noted that even if Apple actually ends up announcing new iPhones next week, there are rumors that they will not go on sale until October. This is due to the supply chain-related issues because of the COVID-19 pandemic around the globe. Either way, we only have to wait seven days to see what exactly Apple has in store for us.
