Oppo starts testing ColorOS 11 based on Android 11, launch next week

09 September 2020 0

The current of Oppo's custom UI for its smartphones is ColorOS 7.2 that debuted just three months ago. Now, Google has made stable Android 11 official and Oppo wants to be one of the early adopters of the new Android version. This is the reason the software team has made a jump directly to ColorOS 11 with the launch set for next week.

ColorOS 11 will be based on Android 11 and is currently available for beta testing. It can be tested by Oppo users if they own a Find X2, Find X2 Pro, Reno 3, or Reno 3 Pro. Only a selected number of testers will be selected for the first batch. If you are interested in beta testing the new version, we would suggest you act fast and register yourself to have a chance at getting shortlisted.

The features of this new ColorOS version are unknown at this time. Oppo has said that it will do a proper launch of the new ColorOS 11 on September 14th. It is the upcoming Monday and will surely be a video presentation. All the aforementioned devices will receive the upgrade but we will also get to know about other compatible devices.

The good thing is that the launch event will be streamed live on the official ColorOS YouTube channel. It is up to you whether to subscribe to the channel or just set a reminder for the particular video. Even if you do not want to do any of these, we will keep you updated about all the announcements.
