Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy M51 in India as its newest mid-range device. It is the same phone that made its global debut a couple of weeks ago. The key highlights of the smartphone include an AMOLED display, 5G processor, quad cameras, and a monstrous 7,000mAh battery. The price point of the phone makes it a direct OnePlus Nord competitor.
The Galaxy M51 sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The panel has a centered punch-hole at the top and almost negligible bezels. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM. There is a single storage option i.e. 128GB with support for microSD cards.
The back panel features quad rear cameras starring a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary camera with f/1.8 aperture. The other three cameras include a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor (f/2.2), a 5-megapixel telephoto sensor (f/2.4), and a 5-megapixel macro sensor (f/2.4). The front camera on the phone is a 32-megapixel single shooter.
On the software front, it will run One UI Core 2.1 based on Android 10 out of the box. The whole package is powered by a 7,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging via USB Type-C port. It is claimed to get charged completely within 115 minutes. The huge battery is said to offer up to 64 hours of talk-time, up to 24 hours of internet usage, up to 34 hours of video playback, and up to 182 hours of music playtime. The phone can also be used for charging other devices. Other noteworthy features include a fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Dolby Atmos support.
