YouTube Music gets Assistive playlists to suggest relevant songs using AI

11 September 2020 0

YouTube Music has received an update that aims to bring some improvements to your playlists. One of the many new additions to YouTube Music is Assistive playlists that take the help of AI to bring up more relevant songs for you.

The feature suggests songs based on signals such as playlist name, existing songs in the playlist, and user listening history to suggest songs. YouTube says that you will see up to seven suggestions when editing a playlist. Also, if you want to see some additional suggestions, you can hit the Refresh button to let the AI do its work.

At the same time, users can also view the public playlists grouped by other people and vice versa. So, creating a public playlist for YouTube Music will be a lot of fun.

YouTube also enlists some features that it had already added to its Music app like inviting friends to build a playlist. Also, YouTube Music’s Mixed for You section creates playlists with only you in mind. This section includes audio tracks and remixes of your favorite songs.

The update has been rolled out to easily create, discover, and share playlists with friends. It is now rolling out to YouTube Music and should reach you soon.
