HMD Global bringing new Nokia phones on September 22

15 September 2020 0

HMD Global has announced that it will unveil new Nokia phones on September 22nd at 8 am PT. The company has started sending media invites, which confirms the announcement will be around new Nokia phones. The invite reads, “Join us as we unveil a new chapter for Nokia phones with a very special guest,” but it does not convey what new phones will arrive next week. We can, however, expect them to be the much-rumored Nokia 3.4, Nokia 2.4, Nokia 7.3 5G, and the much anticipated Nokia 9.3 PureView as well.

Many new Nokia phones were expected to launch at this year’s IFA 2020 event but that didn’t happen. And, now the invitation makes it clear that HMD Global wanted to conduct a separate event to unveil its new lineup of smartphones.

HMD Global has long been rumored to be working on a successor to the Nokia 9 PureView. It was first speculated that the name is going to be the Nokia 9.2 PureView but later on several other rumors addressed it to be the Nokia 9.3 PureView rather. The phone has seen so many delays already as it was reported that HMD Global is considering a switch to the new Snapdragon 865 processor. And, this tip came back in January, when the new processor was quite fresh.

Now, again the clock is ticking and Qualcomm is ready to unveil a new iteration to flagship phone processor. It is likely the company will finally uncover the phone with Snapdragon 865 processor to keep the price point in a limit. Furthermore, it is rumored that the new Nokia 9.3 PureView could feature a 108MP penta camera setup and it can record 8K videos.

Talking about the Nokia 7.3, it is said to be the company’s second 5G phone that will be powered by Snapdragon 690 5G processor.

Last month a tip arrived that said, HMD Global has completed the development process of Nokia 7.3 5G, Nokia 9.3 PureView and it is very likely we see them coming at the scheduled event.
