LG's next 'Explorer Project' phone has an extendable display

15 September 2020 0

LG's Explorer Project is all about releasing smartphones with a new design, something that is different from the crowd. It announced LG Wing with a swivel design as the first release under the project but it seems like a second phone launch is not too far. At the end of the launch last night, the team offered a glimpse of what to expect from the project next.

The launch event keynote ended with a teaser that showed a device seemed to sport an extendable display. It looks like any other normal smartphone in the first look but it is capable of stretching out to expose the display. It further has a tagline, "Hold your breath". Here is an animated GIF giving a better idea of what the phone looks like and how does extendable display work.

The teaser does not reveal anything else about the smartphone. There are a lot of mysteries surrounding the phone like what exactly it has to offer and exactly when it will become official. We do not have an idea about specifications and other features of the device. It means we have no information on whether it will be a premium flagship or costly mid-range phone.
