Sony has officially revealed PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition pricing and availability details. The announcement has come exactly one week after Microsoft made these details official for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The virtual event also comprised of PlayStation 5 game trailers, accessory pricing, and a new PlayStation Plus Collection service.
The standard PlayStation 5 has been priced at $499.99, EUR 499.99, GBP 449.99, and Yen 49,980 for the respective regions. If you are interested in the disc-less PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, you will have to shell out $399.99, EUR 399.99, GBP 359.99, and Yen 39,980 respectively. Both these console editions are exactly the same except the second one does not offer physical disc support.
The global PlayStation 5 launch is set for November 19th but if you are from the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, or South Korea, you will be able to get the next-gen console from November 12th. There are reports that the console is already up for pre-orders in select countries and via select retailers.

It further announced a new service called PlayStation Plus Collection. It is meant for all PlayStation 5 users who will also purchase the PS Plus membership. It will offer them free access to select PlayStation 4 titles like God of War, Fallout 4, Uncharted 4, Batman Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, The Last of Us Remastered, Infamous Second Son, Days Gone, Mortal Kombat X, and Battlefield 1.
