OnePlus 8 gets $100 cheaper as OnePlus 8T launch gets closer

28 September 2020 0

OnePlus has announced a flat $100 price drop for the OnePlus 8 series in the United States. The reduction in price was expected as we are merely weeks away from the OnePlus 8T launch. The event has been confirmed for October 14th where we will see the lineup succeeding the current-gen series.

As per new prices, OnePlus 8 will now cost $599 for the 8GB/128GB base model and $699 for the 12GB/512GB high-end model. The OnePlus 8 Pro can now be purchased for $699 for the same 12GB/512GB configuration. These new prices are applicable to OnePlus' official online store as well as Amazon.

There is no doubt that these prices make the OnePlus 8 series even more lucrative, we would still recommend that you wait at least until the OnePlus 8T launch. This will provide an opportunity to know what upgrades does OnePlus offers and for what pricing. If everything fits the bill for you, you can go for the new variant and if not, you still have the OnePlus 8 lineup for even more affordable pricing.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is the most premium offering in the series. Some of the highlighting features include a Quad HD+ display with AMOLED panel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, triple rear cameras, a bigger battery, and a super-fast charging system. The best part is that the fast charger comes inside the box, unlike a certain $699 phone from a certain brand.
