Coolpad, the Chinese smartphone maker has launched the COOL 12A, an entry-level phone in the country. According to its listing on JD.com, the phone carries a glass rear, which is an interesting feature, considering it’s a budget phone.
The Coolpad COOL 12A features a teardrop notch on the 6.3-inch IPS LCD HD+ display. The phone offers a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent with a 19:9 aspect ratio. On the back, there are two cameras, housed inside a square module and an LED flash accompanies them. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock for the authentication purpose.
The Coolpad COOL 12A is powered by an unknown Spreadtrum chipset that has Cortex-A55 CPU clocking at 1.8GHz and 1 Cortex-A75 CPU cores that clocks at 2.0GHz. The processor is accompanied by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that can be expanded further using a microSD card slot. It features a 16MP main shooter with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it carries an 8MP camera that is accompanied by some tools like Facelift, big eyes, and more to enhance and let you make desired edits.
The Coolpad COOL 12A houses a 4,000mAh battery capacity that gets its to power through the USB-C port.
The price of the Coolpad COOL 12A is 599 Yuan (~$88) in China. In the beginning, the phone will be available with a discounted price tag of 569 Yuan (~$84), the time period of this offer is unknown, though. It comes in Dream Black, Dream Blue, and Fantasy Silver color options.
