Nokia 3.1 has started receiving the Android 10 update as the company announces it on its community forum. According to the official post, the first wave of the countries that receive the latest update includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, or Vietnam. According to the company, 10% of these approved markets have started receiving the update and 50% will receive by October 10th, and by October 12th, every listed country here will get the latest Android 10 update.
Nokia 3.1 is an Android One phone and being the member of this program unlocks many benefits, including the faster software upgrades. But perhaps this isn’t the case this time. The Android software version coming to Nokia 3.1 is still a year-old version and there it is currently unpredictable when the company plans to bring the latest Android 11 update to it.
Well, let’s just keep behind what’s not being fed to the Nokia 3.1 and rather take a look what new things it is getting. Android 10 brings several new features, including Dark theme, Smart Reply, intuitive gestures, more control on privacy and security. It also brings Sound Amplifier, Focus Mode, and more.
In related news, Nokia shared the Android 11 roadmap on Twitter last month. The tweet mentioned the name of the Nokia phones with their timeframe of receiving the latest Android OS version. The list also includes other Nokia Android One phones, including Nokia 3.2, Nokia 8.1, and Nokia 9 PureView. The company, however, later removed the tweet.
