Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition in India. It is a special edition smartphone that has been announced in collaboration with Amazon India. This is exactly the same phone as the Galaxy M31 launched earlier this year. The major difference is that it comes loaded with pre-loaded Amazon apps and complimentary Amazon Prime membership for three months.
The phone will have a dedicated folder of Amazon apps like Amazon Shopping, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Kindle, and Audible. The users can also swipe right on the home screen to access an interface showing all the products available on Amazon for a faster shopping experience.
It has been released in a single 6GB/128GB configuration for a price of INR 16,499. There are three colors to choose from Space Black, Ocean Blue, and Iceberg Blue. The phone will go on sale starting October 17th during the Great Indian Festival sale but for Prime members, it will be available for purchase from October 16th itself.
As for other specifications, it sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. Under the hood, it has an octa-core Exynos 9611 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The quad rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 5-megapixel depth camera. It has a 32-megapixel camera on the front panel which is capable of 4K video recording, slow-motion videos, AR doodling, and AR emoji.
The whole package is powered by a huge 6,000mAh battery and it comes with a 15W charger. It has a physical fingerprint scanner on the back panel and a USB Type-C port.
