At the OnePlus 8T 5G launch event, OnePlus also introduced a Nord special edition phone. It is simply a new color variant called Gray Ash that will be available for a limited period of time. It is the same variant the team was teasing for the past few days and many speculated it to be Sandstone finish.
The OnePlus Nord Gray Ash color option looks similar to Gray Onyx but there is a slight difference. The new one has a matte gray glass back panel instead of the glossy panel. The phone has been released in only 12GB RAM and 256GB configuration for a price of EUR 499 and INR 29,999 in Europe and India respectively. It will go on sale starting on October 16th.
The OnePlus Nord sports a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel has a pill-shaped punch-hole for housing dual selfie cameras: 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 sensor and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with 105-degree Field of View. Under the hood, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G is the choice of processor that also brings 5G capabilities.
The quad-camera setup on the back panel headlined by the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with OIS. The other three sensors are 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 5-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth. All of these are aligned vertically in the top left corner along with the LED flash. The whole package is powered by a 4,100mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T fast charging. It will run the latest OxygenOS version based on Android 10 out of the box.
