Micromax’s co-founder Rahul Sharma confirmed today that the company is making a comeback in India with new smartphones line-up “In” pretty soon. He didn’t reveal any specific details on the first phones coming but did make some revelations around the plans that the company has.
Meanwhile, the first phone from the range appears to have crossed the Geekbench website. As spotted by an Indian tipster, Abhishek Yadav, the listing shows the name of the phone from Micromax’s new line-up “In.” According to the Geekbench listing, the name of the phone is IN 1A and it holds some decent set of specifications.

The listing discloses the processor name that is MediaTek Helio P35. It also reveals the phone has 4GB RAM and runs Android 10. The listing reveals no other details but we can expect a few things from the only information available for now.
The MediaTek Helio P35 SoC has been empowering many budget Android phones from the other companies. Following the trend in the Indian market today, the phone could possess up to dual cameras.
For comparison, the newly launched Oppo A15 uses the same processor and it has been launched for Rs. 10,990. As per Micromax’s co-founder, the company is currently targeting the segment between Rs. 7,000 and Rs. 15,000 and it will not just launch something just for the sake of the promise of its comeback. The company will not be offering any smartphone at cheap dirt prices either and will follow the “value for money” motto, which is to bring more for less. So, we believe the IN 1A, the first phone of Micromax’s IN, could cost below Rs. 10,000 to give competition to the existing phones in the market.
Micromax’s co-founder clearly said that the company is not coming back to disrupt the budget and mid-range segment or to beat the competitions. It is coming back to be a legitimate option in the country.
