Huawei Nova 7 Pro for reference only

Huawei Nova 8 is tipped to be coming in November, which also means the company is not launching the new series alongside the Huawei Mate 40 series on October 22. The tip comes from a Weibo blogger who has also revealed some of the details on the new Nova 8 series.

According to the tipster, the Nova 8 lineup may not include many models, though expect the standard Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro phones to debut at the launch. The tip further reveals the codenames of these phones are “Jessica” and “JessicaH.” According to the past rumors, the Nova 8 will feature a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Pro model will get a 120Hz refresh rate. This will make them the first Nova-series phones with the highest refresh rates.

The tipster hasn’t shared any render of the phone but has stated that the front dual-camera notch is situated on the upper left corner of the screen. Looks like the tipster is referring to an image of the Nova 8 Pro leaked in the past. Also, the phones are going to follow the OLED hyperboloid screen solution that was introduced with the Nova 7 Pro.

An alleged live image of the Nova 8 Pro, however, leaked in the past that shows how the device could like. Past rumors have also suggested the Nova 8 phones will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. The Nova 8 is going to get the Dimensity 820, while the Pro version could get the Dimensity 1000+ processor.

The Huawei Nova 8 series launch is tipped for November, so we still have enough time to know more about it.
