OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS updates to its OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series. The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro phones get the OxygenOS 10.0.9 update and the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro phones receive the 10.0.4 update. These new updates bring not only the fixes and optimizations but also the September 2020 security patch.
Both the updates to the pair of OnePlus phones optimize the power consumption of the system and improve user experience, though the OnePlus 7 doesn’t get this treatment. One more fix that is common in the changelogs of both the updates is the fix for flashback issues with some third-party apps. Also, OxygenOS 10.0.14 and the 10.0.9 updates add a user assistant feature to help user master usage skills quickly. Just follow, Settings> OnePlus Tips & Support to get assistance. Both the updates also fix some known issues and improved overall system stability.
The OxygenOS 10.0.14 update for the OnePlus 7T and the OnePlus 7T Pro phones also brings a fix for the dysfunctional alarm clock that does not ring in certain situations. It also fixes unstable issues with Messages in special cases.
Note that OxygenOS 10.0.14 and 10.0.9 versions are for Europe. In India and other markets, the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series will get the OxygenOS 10.3.6 update.
As always, these new OxygenOS OTAs are incremental, meaning they will reach a small percentage of users today, followed by a broader rollout in a few days.
