Just like any other smartphone company, HMD Global must be planning its upcoming launches, including new Nokia phones. And, it appears at least a couple of those plans have surfaced online.
The tech site Nokiamob.net that covers everything related to Nokia, claims to have obtained an internal document that makes some interesting revelations. The tech site has not shared the entire document because of the sensitivity of the document and rather chose to disclose some parts of it by writing about the same.
According to the tech site’s report, HMD Global aims to become one of the top 3 smartphone players in the next 3-5 years. Part of the document also puts emphasis on HMD Global’s partnership with Google, suggesting Nokia phones to continue their journey with the Android One program.
The tech site claims that one of the sentences in the document states Nokia phones are like Pixels for every price category and that “Google provides 95% of our innovation.” Later it is said that HMD must become the best and preferred Google partner, and achieve that they need to master the Google offer.
Reportedly, the document also has a section prohibiting commenting on rumors about Nokia 10. This is the first time ever that we are hearing the name Nokia 10. We have had heard a lot about the Nokia 9 PureView successor but some unprecedented delays have kept the phone away from reality. Now, looks like the company may never launch the phone by the rumored Nokia 9.3 PureView name and rather call it the Nokia 10 straight away. The report reveals no details on the Nokia 10 but we expect it to inherit all those specifications and features that were first meant for the Nokia 9.3 PureView.
Well, moving on with the document, there is reportedly a section that talks about live events and organizing the events. The listed key markets are - India, China, Russia, Indonesia, the UK, Germany, South Africa, Mexico, and the USA.
Those were some interesting revelations about HMD Global’s plans seemingly for the next year. We are curious about how the company will proceed further.
