Motorola's best-selling G-series has just been refreshed with two new smartphone models. These include the Moto G 5G and Moto G9 Power that have been announced for the European market. Both of these are mid-range phones but only the G 5G is a 5G-capable smartphone. In fact, it is Motorola's cheapest 5G smartphone in Europe.
The Moto G 5G features a huge 6.7-inch Full HD+ MaxVision display with a centered punch-hole. The display panel offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and supports HDR10 tech. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G processor which works with sub-6GHz 5G bands for offering faster internet connectivity. There are two configuration variants featuring 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. Both variants also support microSD cards up to 1TB.
The phone has a quad-camera setup headlined by a 48-megapixel sensor with Quad Pixel technology. The other two cameras include a wide-angle sensor and a macro sensor but Motorola has not said anything about the fourth sensor. The front camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with 2.0 μm pixel size and Quad Pixel technology.
The whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower fast charging support. It is claimed to deliver 10 hours' worth of power with just 15 minutes of charging. The Moto G 5G will start at EUR 299.99 in European markets. It will also be made available in Latin America, India, Middle East & Asia in the coming weeks.
The Moto G9 Power is a smartphone with a 6.8-inch HD+ MaxVision display and a punch-hole in the top left corner. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. There is a single storage option i.e. 128GB but it can be expanded up to 512GB with the help of microSD cards.
The camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera is a 16-megapixel sensor housed within the punch-hole. There is a 6,000mAh battery to keep the lights on that should last for more than a day with ease. It is supported by 20W fast charging so that you do not have to wait for long while it charges.
Motorola has priced the Moto G9 Power at EUR 199.99 in Argentina and selected European markets. It will also be expanded to Latin America, India, the Middle East, and Asia in the coming weeks.
