Redmi, Xiaomi’s sub-brand is said to be prepping up its next K-series phone, presumably the Redmi K40. A couple of leaks have already revealed a few key specs of the device and now a new tip has surfaced on Weibo that adds more information to our knowledge.
According to the known tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K40 will feature an OLED panel and 120Hz refresh rate. The tipster also tells the phone will feature a single hole-punch to house the selfie camera.
Past rumors have suggested the Redmi K40 will have 33W fast-charging support and it is going to be a 5G-powered phone. There are also rumors that believed the Pro variant of the phone will get a Snapdragon 875 chipset. On the other hand, the standard Redmi K40 is expected to come packed with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor along with 5G connectivity support.
Note that its predecessor, Redmi K30 received much appreciation from the consumers. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate but has an IPS LCD panel and dual punch-holes. With the OLED panel on the successor, Redmi is definitely gaming up in an aggressively growing smartphone market.
Currently, there is no word on the launch, availability, and pricing of the upcoming Redmi K40 series. But we will keep you posted about the same. So, keep following us and learn more about the upcoming phones.
