All four iPhone 12 models are now available for purchase and the majority of the early buyers have also got their hands on the new phones. All four models come with OLED display panels which are expected to deliver an improved viewing experience but as things have turned out, the reality is appearing to be exactly the opposite for many users.
A number of iPhone 12 users have come forward to complain about different display issues they are facing. Some units are showing a Green/Gray tint, flickering, and other unwanted display quality variations. These issues are not restricted to a particular model and appear to be affecting all four models: iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 Mini.
Apple is said to have acknowledged these issues in a document shared with its authorized service providers. It has asked them not to submit any iPhone with display problems for service. They have been told to notify users about keeping the phone with them and just ensuring that they are running the latest iOS version. In other words, users will be advised to install every update that Apple will release in the future.
It seems like Apple is confident that iPhone 12 display issues can be fixed with a software update. This is only a guess as Apple is yet to release a public statement on the matter. We can only hope that an announcement and a fix is released as soon as possible. However, the good thing is that not all units are affected by the aforementioned problems.
