Sony is usually quick to announce OS upgrade plans but this year, it has taken its sweet time. Android 11 debuted in September and now about three months later, Sony has finally revealed Xperia Android 11 release schedule. The good news is that the release will begin as early as this month itself.
The Xperia 1 II will be the Sony device to receive the upgrade which is scheduled for December 2020. It will be followed by the Xperia 5 II and Xperia 10 II by the end of January 2021. The other two smartphones in the list are Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 that will get upgraded to the latest Android version in February 2021.
Here is a better overview of the complete roadmap:
There are only five devices that have been included in Sony's Android 11 upgrade plans. It is hard to say whether more devices will be added but if anything changes, we will make sure to keep you posted.
