Razer is a brand primarily known for making gaming laptops and accessories but it also has a few audio products. It has now revealed Hammerhead True Wireless Pro as its second pair of truly wireless earphones (TWS). These are an improved version of the original Hammerhead True Wireless earphones released last year.
The newest TWS model offers all the features that you would expect from any modern TWS. The companion app for iOS and Android can be used for activating a dedicated Gaming Mode. This mode offers latency as low as 60ms which should improve your gaming experience if you prefer using or want to use truly wireless earphones while playing games.
The "Pro" model is named so because of the two new features active noise cancellation (ANC) and THX audio certification. It makes use of two external and two internal microphones for enabling the Advanced Hybrid ANC mode. As for the certification, Razer says it will help users enjoy audio the way creators intended. It further means users will not experience distortion at high volumes, vocal details, 20-20kHz frequency response, and better sound isolation.
The earphones have 10mm audio drivers and weigh about 53 grams. There is support for touch controls for music playback, call controls, and general usage like switching to the gaming mode. Another good feature is that users will be able to switch off one of the earbuds if they wish to listen through only of them. The battery life is claimed to be up to 20 hours including the charging case and it will be reduced if ANC is enabled.
Razer has priced the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro at $199.99 and sales are already live. It is available for purchase via Razer's retail stores as well as the website in the U.S., Canada, EU, China, and the Asia Pacific countries.
