Vivo has launched Y52s, a new mid-range phone with 5G support. The new phone has a teardrop-style notch on the display and there are dual cameras on the back. There are thin bezels on the sides but with a significant chin.
The dual cameras on the Vivo Y52s are housed inside a rectangular-shaped module that also carries the LED flash. There is no fingerprint sensor on the rear panel because it is fitted on the side of the phone.
The Vivo Y52s features a 6.58-inch full HD+ display with a 20.1:9 aspect ratio. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor coupled with up to 8GB RAM.
The dual-camera setup houses a 48MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone carries an 8MP camera. It runs an unspecified version of Android with Funtouch OS on the top.
Vivo Y52s includes 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. It includes a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W Dual Engine fast charging. Connectivity options include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C.
The Vivo Y52s has been launched in China and is available for pre-orders through China’s JD.com. It comes in the Coral Sea, Monet, and Titanium Grey color options. It will go on sale on December 12 in China. The Vivo Y52s is priced at 1,598 yuan ($244) for the 6GB RAM and 1,798 yuan (275).
