It was last month Vivo confirmed its plans to launch the new X60 series sometime in December. An exact date or timeline for the month was missing but a new leak has surfaced from China. As per reliable Weibo user Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X60 series of smartphones will be unveiled on December 28th.
The Vivo X60 series is reported to have at least three models: Vivo X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro+. It will be the first device to feature Samsung's newest 5nm-based Exynos 1080 processor that debuted last month. It is a 5G enabled processor which means these phones are set to be 5G devices. However, it is unknown whether all three phones will have the same chipset.
The rumors further suggest that Vivo will make use of Samsung display panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a punch-hole in the center as we saw with the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 lineups. There will be three to four camera sensors on the back depending on the particular model. The camera module design is said to be the same as the predecessor Vivo X50 series.
Other details about the upcoming lineup are pretty scarce at the moment. There are only speculations of the possibility of up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage options. There could also be the latest Android 11 running out of the box. Nevertheless, we will keep you posted on all the developments related to the lineup.
