Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO appears to have added a new phone called U3 to its portfolio as the same has been found on the Chinese e-commerce JD.com. The company has made no official announcement but the phone has silently appeared for purchase via online medium already.
The listing of the iQOO U3 reveals the set of specifications and even the price. The iQOO U3 appears as a budget phone yet filled with all the trendy specifications, including 5G support, a high refresh rate display, a large-sized battery.
The iQOO U3 features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with full HD+ resolution, 401ppi pixel density, HDR10, and 90Hz refresh rate. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.61 percent. It is powered by a Dimensity 800U processor coupled with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.
On the back, the phone gets dual cameras, housed inside a square-shaped module. The LED flash also gets to share the sit-in this housing. The camera configuration includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera supports night scene mode, panorama, time-lapse photography, EIS, and 4K video recording. On the front, the display gets a teardrop-notch that carries an 8MP camera sensor.
The iQOO U3 gets a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W dual-engine fast charging. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, face unlock, a side-facing fingerprint reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The price of the iQOO U3 base variant (6GB/128GB) listed on JD.com is 1,498 yuan (~$229) and the other variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costs 1,698 yuan (~259). It comes in two color options – Black, and Glow Blue. It is available for purchase with a 50 yuan discount in the country.
