Realme is preparing for the launch of a new smartphone lineup with the codename "Race". The first Realme Race phone is set to be a flagship featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This is the same phone that has appeared in recent reports and now, we have some more details to share with you.
Xu Qi Chase, Chief Marketing Officer for Realme, has shared a few important Race details and a glimpse of the design. The shared image shows the phone from the back panel with a unique design. There is Realme branding in the top right corner and the quad-camera module is on the left. The text on the module confirms that there is a 64-megapixel primary sensor.
The back panel has multiple color combinations that do look good. The launch of the phone is expected to happen sometime in the first quarter of 2021. It can even happen as soon as the next month because Realme's rival Xiaomi has confirmed December 28th launch for Mi 11, the world's first phone with Snapdragon 888 processor. There is no prize for guessing that the two brands will be competing in the market to get the attention of buyers.
The vast majority of the details about the Realme Race are currently missing. We only know that it will not be a single phone but a completely new smartphone lineup. We should hear more about the phones and future plans through official channels as time will pass.
