The foldable smartphone market has started to mature with time. Samsung is the biggest OEM committed to releasing foldable phones and is also the market leader. Its closest rivals are Huawei and Motorola but very soon, Xiaomi is said to be preparing to enter the market. The leak is coming from Ross Young, Founder/Lead Analyst at DisplaySearch and DSCC.
Young tweeted through his personal Twitter account that Xiaomi has three foldable smartphones under development. These three phones are claimed to have three different foldable phone designs. One model features an inward folding design, one has an outward folding design, and the last one has a clamshell design.
So the next foldable to hit the market will likely be from Xiaomi who is expected to have 3 foldables in the market in 2021. They will actually have all 3 types. The first will be outfolding, the second will be in-folding and the third will be clamshell.

These are also the three foldable phone designs that are common in the market. The inward folding design can be seen in any of the Samsung Galaxy Fold series devices including the most recent Galaxy Z Fold 2. As for the foldable phones with outward folding mechanism, Huawei's Mate X is the phone with it. Lastly, Motorola Razr is a phone with a clamshell design.
The leak does not mention when we can expect Xiaomi to announce these foldable smartphones. It is also unknown whether these three foldable will be released at the same time or through different launch events.
