Oppo seems to be one of the busiest OEMs when it comes to working on innovative approaches for smartphones that will differentiate them from their traditional counterparts. It has already showcased the Oppo X 2021 concept phone with a rollable display. It is also working on a phone with a removable camera module and a slide phone with multiple folds. And now, a new report has surfaced showing an Oppo slider phone with an extendable display.
The leak is coming from LetsGoDigital, a Dutch publication, and offers a good look at the phone through renders claimed to be official ones. Oppo is said to be working with a globally renowned fashion designer Tom Ford for the phone's design. This is the reason it is currently being referred to as Oppo X Tom Ford.
The special Oppo slider phone looks like a square in its default form factor. It has a bezel-less display that makes it look like it is just glass. It can be stretched vertically to extend the display size by 80% that puts it in line with other big-screen devices. This extendable display will help users carry a big display device while being compact at the same time.
The phone has a triple camera setup on the back panel but its technical specifications are currently missing. The camera sensors are aligned horizontally and have "Oppo X Tom Ford Design for concept Shakira" branding below them. The phone has Golden accents all around along with a wooden finish that gives it the feel of a luxurious phone.
