Vivo has officially unveiled the new Android flagship series at an event held in China. There are two smartphones named Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro. Both of these are powered by Samsung's 5nm based Exynos 1080 5G processor. Other highlights of the new lineup include a high refresh rate display panel and ZEISS optics for camera performance.
The Vivo X60 Pro is the most expensive variant between the two. It features a 6.56-inch Full HD+ (2376 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a centered punch-hole. The panel has support for a 120Hz refresh rate, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, P3 color gamut, HDR 10, and HDR 10+ standards.
Under the hood, it has an octa-core Exynos 1080 processor with 5G capabilities and ARM Mali-G78 GPU. There is a single configuration option of 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It features a quad rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.48 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 13-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel periscope sensor with f/3.4 aperture. The fourth sensor will help the device achieve up to 5X optical zoom and up to 60X digital zoom.
The front camera is a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture. The whole package is powered by a 4,200mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It runs recently announced OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11 out of the box. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and NFC. The Vivo X60 Pro will cost you CNY 4,498 (about $690) for the sole 12GB/256GB variant.
The Vivo X60 is the same as the Pro variant except for a few differences here and there. It features a triple rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 13-megapixel depth sensor. The phone has three configuration options: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. A 4,300mAh battery is there to keep the lights on which can be charged quickly using the 33W fast charging tech.

Both Vivo X60 series phones are up for pre-orders in China with the first sale scheduled for January 8th. The company is yet to say anything about the global availability of these phones.
