Huawei HarmonyOS, the company’s in-house platform as “plan B” appears to have been doing great among the developers. At its recently held Developer Day conference, Huawei reportedly announced a growing number of developers for its proprietary operating system, indicating the growing popularity even for a new platform that is entering the market dominated by Android.
Huawei reportedly announced that since the release of the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile application, a steady stream of developers have joined the HarmonyOS. This is why Huawei also planning to work with more developers and partners.
The media outlet cites “reports” and states that Huawei is expected to releases around 100 million devices and partner with over 40 brands by 2021.
Huawei released the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta two weeks back. During the release, Huawei announced that more than 15,000 APIs will facilitate development for smartphones, wearables, cars, and large displays among many other device categories. Huawei released the beta for around nine of its flagship models from P-series and Mate-series. The beta enrollment was invitation-based only for the developers to test out.
