OnePlus just like many other smartphone manufacturers must be busy in preparations to launch its next series this year. Going by several past rumors, this could be the new OnePlus 9 series that include the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro phone.

Well, apart from some usual upgrades, we might see the OnePlus 9 series holding some new and special features too. Up until now, the leaks have only managed to share some usual specs change. But a new leak is sharing an interesting tidbit about the top-most model of the series.

According to tipster Max Jambor ( via Voice), the OnePlus 9 Pro may feature 45W wireless charging. The tipster didn’t mention the speed with which this tech will charge the OnePlus 9 Pro to full. But, let’s just consider it to be better than what was debuted on the OnePlus 8 Pro.

Wireless charging is not new to the OnePlus phones. The company introduced it on the OnePlus 8 Pro by bringing Warp Charge 30 Wireless. For comparison, the existing Warp Charge 30 Wireless charges the OnePlus 8 Pro from 0 to 50% in just 29 minutes.

Other existing phones from other manufacturers are Huawei P40 Pro+ and Oppo Ace 2, both with 40W wireless charging. Also, Huawei’s Mate 40 Pro has 50W wireless charging that is able to take the phone from 0 to 100% in just 40 minutes. Similarly, Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Ultra holds the 50W wireless charging solution too.

The tipster also shared that the OnePlus 9 Pro will support reverse wireless charging as well, which means users will be able to charge accessories such as BT headphones, smartwatches, or other supported phones.
