iQOO has launched its newest Android flagship named iQOO 7 at an event held in China. The main highlight of the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This makes it only the second phone after the Xiaomi Mi 11 to feature Qualcomm's latest and greatest chipset. Other salient features include a high refresh rate, fast charging speed, and triple rear cameras.
The iQOO 7 sports a 6.62-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with a centered punch-hole. This gives it a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate but supports dynamic adjustment that varies depending on the content. It can choose from 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and the highest 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It is available with 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage respectively. The phone has a triple rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and OIS, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor. There is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture on the device housed inside the punch-hole.
The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery available in the form of two 2,000mAh batteries. This split allows iQOO to deliver an insanely fast 120W charging speed. It is so fast that the phone is said to get fully charged from 0% within just 15 minutes. Other noteworthy features include a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, and NFC support.
The iQOO 7 pricing:
- 8GB/128GB for CNY 3,798 (about $587)
- 12GB/256GB for CNY 4,198 (about $649)
The flagship will go on sale starting January 15th in China. It will be available in Black, Latent Blue, and Legendary Edition color options.
