It seems like we will have to wait for some more time before we can get a consensus over the fate of the Galaxy Note lineup. Two new industry insiders have shared information claiming that Samsung is set to kill the Galaxy Note series. These include Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), a well-known tipster, and Ross Young, founder of DisplayMate and DSCC.
The tipster has simply tweeted a picture with the text "The End" along with the caption: Galaxy Note. There are no prizes for guessing that the tweet simply points towards the end of the Galaxy Note lineup. He did not provide any further details surrounding the situation but we should expect to hear from him in the future.

On another hand, Young has shared some significant details about Samsung's plans. He has tweeted that there will not be a Galaxy Note 21 launch this year as many would be expecting. There is a possibility that Samsung may announce Galaxy Note 20 FE to fill the void that would be created. It will be an affordable variant of the Galaxy Note 20 flagship series like the Galaxy Note 10 Lite from last year.
1) We now see Oppo and Xiaomi each launching a flagship using a Samsung LTPO panel in 1H'21.

2) Although now there is no Note 21 coming, we may see a Note 20 FE...
3) The lack of a Note 21 series means the S21 series will sell at higher volumes for longer and could outsell S10..
We recently heard a report citing an unnamed Samsung official to claim that there will indeed be a Galaxy Note series in 2021. It is quite possible that the official might be talking about the FE variant. Young further says that with no Note device in the second half, the Galaxy S21 series should sell in higher numbers and eventually beat the numbers registered by the Galaxy S10 series.
This is not a surprising prediction as the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G does support the S Pen stylus. It would result in S Pen fans moving to the Ultra model in the absence of a new Galaxy Note device. Samsung has already revealed plans to expand the stylus support to other Galaxy devices. We have heard rumors about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 being the next device to be compatible with S Pen. Nevertheless, Galaxy Note fans will not be left stranded and they will have other options to consider as and when Samsung decides to make the demise official.
