27 January 2021 0

Samsung has made official a new affordable Android smartphone called the Galaxy A02. The phone is announced in Thailand for as low as $100. The phone carries the same traditional design that you find in several other low to mid-range phones. There is a waterdrop-style notch on the display and a dual-camera setup on the back. However, the selection of the display and internals make it a more budget-friendly phone.

The Galaxy A02 is powered by quad-core MediaTek’s MT6739W processor clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage variant. The phone allows you to expand the onboard storage up to 1TB using a microSD card. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display that has 720x1560 pixels resolution.

The Galaxy A02 has a dual-camera setup at the back, where the primary sensor is 13MP with f/1.9 aperture and 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture with LED flash. It runs the dated Android 10 and the front of the camera gets a 5MP snapper for selfies and video calling. The phone comes with dual SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy A02 has a 5,000mAh battery capacity with 7.75W charging support.
