Samsung Galaxy A72 that has been coming out of the leaks infrequently will apparently launch in two versions – 4G and 5G. While the renders leak via @OnLeaks have shown us what the latter could end up looking like, it is the first time we are seeing the former in full-fledged renders. Technically, there shouldn't be any big difference between the appearance of the two, but looking at these sets of renders, it appears Samsung has decided to make them a bit different from each other.
WinFuture, a German tech blog has shared the renders of the alleged Galaxy A72 4G variant. These renders look similar to its 5G sibling that @OnLeaks shared back in December 2020. However, the only difference we are able to glean is the arrangement of back cameras.
On a closer inspection, you will realize the number of cameras is the same, but the fourth camera is arranged indifferently when compared to the render of the 5G variant. The rectangular camera housing has four cameras in total, where the fourth camera is placed above the LED flash. On the other hand, in the 5G variant, this fourth camera is sitting below the LED flash in the same housing. This is the only minor difference that we have been able to see between the two variants. Also, the back panel looks a bit different in pattern. Furthermore, as per the new renders, it appears the two variants will feature a different set of color options.
Interestingly, the tech blog has also shared the specifications of the device. As per the post, the Galaxy A72 will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2400x1080 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It will also feature a 90Hz refresh rate, which is becoming a pretty norm among many smartphones.
As evident from the renders, the Galaxy A72 has a punch-hole at the top-center of the display. This punch-hole has a 32MP camera sensor embedded in it. On the back, the phone carries a 64MP primary sensor, followed by an 8MP camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP sensor for macro shots.
The Galaxy A72 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor with a 2.3GHz clock speed. It is said to be having 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage, which can be further expanded using a memory card. It also has a built-in 5,000mAh battery capacity with a Type-C port. The report believes the phone is also IP67 certified and runs Android 11.
It is currently unknown when the Galaxy A72 will launch and at what price.
