Apple's iPhone 12 Mini was supposed to be a consumer favorite because of its smaller size and relatively affordable pricing. However, it has been experiencing low sales and led to speculations that Apple might even discontinue it. Now, a new leak has surfaced that Apple is still interested in launching iPhone 13 mini later this year.
The leak is coming from reliable Apple stuff tipster Jon Prosser who talked about the possibility in his recent YouTube video. He has cited his sources for the claim that Apple is committed to launching iPhone 13 mini. But due to poor sales this year, there is a possibility that Apple might release the phone in low numbers than what it was planning originally.
The leak does not talk about any of the iPhone 13 mini specifications and features. It is safe to assume that the device will have a smaller display and battery capacity. It is said that one of the reasons behind the iPhone 12 mini's poor sales is the availability of other options like the iPhone SE (2020). Prosser has said that Apple might not release an iPhone SE 3 this time around and instead go for the iPhone SE Plus.
The so-called "Plus" will likely have a bigger display and better specifications than the standard "SE" model. It is worth noting that the phone would arrive only if Apple decides to release an iPhone SE model. In other words, there wil either be both iPhone 13 mini and iPhone SE Plus or only the mini variant.
