Apple's list of OLED display suppliers is reportedly set to welcome a new player. The report from Economic Daily News claims that BOE will be one of the main iPhone 13 OLED display suppliers. It will join the currently signed suppliers i.e. Samsung Display and LG Display in ensuring that Apple's large-scale demands get fulfilled within the stipulated timeline.
It is reported that BOE has shaken hands with GIS, a Chinese touch panel supplier, to expand its supply for Apple. The latter has assigned a team of 100 people to work with BOE and produce high-quality OLED display panels. Both parties are said to have reached an agreement over how the whole manufacturing process will work so that Apple is not disappointed.
BOE has been trying to get the display supply assignment from Apple for quite some time. It even tried to become an OLED display supplier for the iPhone 12 series but failed Apple's quality assurance tests. It seems like the company has passed all the mandatory tests and fulfilled the requirements set by Apple before signing them up.
While these reports do look promising for BOE, it is just a rumor for the time being. There have been mixed reports about BOE's position with Apple but there are some rumors that the situation has been improving. All in all, BOE is expected to be one of the display suppliers for Apple but nothing is set in stone yet.
