UPDATE (March 12th, 2021):

OnePlus has officially paused the rollout of the Android 11 update for the OnePlus Nord. It is a temporary pause that has been announced to improve the user experience. Many of the users have complained about experiencing bugs with the new version which will be fixed in the meantime. The team has not revealed when we can expect the update to resume but we will keep you in the loop.

OnePlus Nord has started receiving the OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11. The stable update arrives after the device received three Android 11 beta updates.

Needless to say, the major software upgrade brings a myriad of new features. As per the changelog, the update is pretty big, weighing 2910MB. The changelog is big but we are not enlisting each and every new feature here. However, you can take a look at some of the key features that Android 11 is bringing to the mid-range, OnePlus Nord.

There is now a brand new UI design, including the new Shelf UI; optimization of some third-party apps, and improved experience. The new Canvas always-on display has also been added to the OnePlus Nord. There is now a shortcut key for Dark Mode, you just have to pull down the quick setting to enable it. The Gallery now includes the Story feature that automatically creates the weekly stories by using your local photos and videos.

In addition to the new features, the OxygenOS based on Android 11 also brings some improvements to make the experience even better.

The OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus Nord is rolling out in stages, which means it will first come to a handful of users followed by a wider rollout. This is to ensure that the update is working fine and can be brought to every OnePlus Nord owner. The OTA update will pop-up via a notification but in case it doesn’t, you just have to go to Settings of your Nord phone and look for About phone where you would find the System Updates option. Click it to see if the update has arrived for you. If it’s there then just install it right away.
