A new investor note from the very famous Ming-Chi Kuo states that the new iPhone 13 lineup will feature nearly the same wide-angle lens as the current iPhone 12 series, with no tangible improvements.
Kuo says the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 Pro will feature the same 7P wide-angle lens with a ƒ1.6 aperture as their respective iPhone 12 counterparts.
The larger iPhone 13 Pro Max may feature a ƒ1.5 aperture wide-angle lens, a minute increase compared to the ƒ1.6 aperture on the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
A 7P design allows for a larger aperture, allowing for more light to capture, thus the new lineup may capture better shots in low-light conditions.

Up until now, we have learned a lot about the upcoming iPhone 13, all thanks to some of the top tipsters in the tech industry who continue to dig deeper to get some insights on Apple’s plans. Well, we can’t prove the substantiality of any of these leaks but looking at the track record of the tipsters, we would like to follow them until the official launch.
Now, one of the known top analysts in the tech world who shares his insights especially on Apple products has come up with one more research note for investors. As obtained by Macrumors, Ming-Chi Kuo’s note reiterates what Apple could bring to the table via the iPhone 13 models. He reiterates his own predictions he made earlier and some past leaks fed by some other leakers.
Kuo states that the entire iPhone 13 family will feature a smaller notch. Past rumors have also suggested a smaller notch where the vertical size is reduced, the width remains the same. Apple is said to be rearranged the sensors to reduce the depth of the boat-shaped notch.
He also stated that the two Pro models will feature low-power LTPO display technology for a 120Hz refresh rate, something display analyst Ross Young in October and later report from The Elec have predicted already. Last month, another tipster backed this story and made the same claim.
Kuo further notes that the iPhone 13 lineup will consist of the same four models as the iPhone 12 lineup. All of them will equip a Lightning connector and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X60 modem. He points out, all four iPhone 13 models will feature larger battery capacities compared to iPhone 12 models. The larger batteries will make the iPhone 13 models slightly heavier. He also expects iPhone 13 Pro models to feature an upgraded ultra-wide camera lens with a wider f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, compared to f/2.4 on iPhone 12 models.
He further pointed out that the entire iPhone 13 series will come with the new sensor-shift image stabilization technology, something that has been so far exclusive to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
