Realme GT 5G with 120Hz display, Snapdragon 888 launched in China

Realme has officially unveiled its first flagship of 2021 named Realme GT 5G. It is a 5G capable smartphone that been announced in China for the time being. Other important features including a high refresh rate display, the latest Qualcomm flagship processor, and super-fast charging speed support.

The Realme GT 5G sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 91.7% screen-to-body ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a 360Hz touch sampling rate, 98% NTSC gamut, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support. The panel also has a punch-hole in the top left corner that houses a 16-megapixel front camera.

Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor which is the latest premium chipset. It is available in two configuration options: 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 onboard storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 onboard storage. There is no microSD card slot available with any of the variants.


The triple rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel 4cm macro sensor. The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for the 65W fast charging method. It will be running Realme UI 2.0 based on the new Android 11 out of the box. Other important features include a USB Type-C port, WiFi 6, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Realme GT pricing:

  • 8GB/128GB for CNY 2,799 (about $430)
  • 12GB/256GB for CNY 3,299 (about $510)

The Realme GT has been released in Blue, Racing Yellow, and Silver color options. It is already available for pre-order with sales set to begin March 10th.
