The Red Magic 6-series from nubia has now gone official. The series includes two gaming smartphones Red Magic 6 and the Red Magic 6 Pro. Both of which have a lot many things in common but they do differ any many other aspects for their respective price tags.

The Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro are the first two phones to launch with 165Hz refresh rate screens. Also, both of them support a 500Hz touch sampling rate for minimizing input latency. Both are powered by Snapdragon 888 processor and run Red Magic OS 4 based on Android 11. They both have an active cooling air fan to cool down the system in extensive usage. The fan spins at 18,000 RPM on the Red Magic 6 and 20,000 RPM on the Pro to keep thermals in check. The Pro model has a better arrangement for cooling, though. It comes with a 7-layer multi-dimensional cooling system and an additional aviation-grade cooling ice blade.

Both models are also equipped with several copper heat sinks that further boost cooling

The Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro feature a triple rear camera setup, which is headlined by a 64MP primary sensor followed by an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The phones have no notch or cutouts to bear the single selfie camera. However, the phones feature the old-style bezels on the top to carry an 8MP camera. Both the phones feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and have headphone jacks.

The Red Magic 6 and the Red Magic 6 Pro smartphones feature dual-touch gaming shoulder buttons and a light-up logo on the back. Red Magic 6 Pro gets the 120W fast-charging support, whereas the Red Magic 6 gets the 66W charging support for its 5,050mAh battery capacity.
