Ever since Honor became an independent identity last year, it has been on a different kind of journey in the smartphone market. The brand has set a goal of proving that it cannot only survive but thrive in the industry without the support of Huawei. It has been busy partnering with various tech companies to ensure that whenever new devices launch, they are good enough to compete with other players and attract a significant audience.
Honor is widely rumored to be working on a new Magic lineup smartphone. It is tipped to be a premium device packed with high-end specifications and features. We now have our first official acknowledgment that the device is under development. George Zhao, CEO of Honor, has revealed that Honor is aiming to deliver a Magic smartphone that is even better than Huawei Mate and P series devices. This is undoubtedly a pretty bold and big claim to make.
Both Huawei Mate and P series are well-appreciated lineups of smartphones. These phones are known for delivering one of the best hardware and camera performance, especially the latter where it even sets a new benchmark for other phone makers. It goes without saying that it will not be that easy for the new Honor Magic to surpass or even match these high standards but if it is able to, tech enthusiasts and customers will surely be in for a treat.
The Honor Magic 2 was the last smartphone to launch in the lineup and that happened way back in 2018. It was a phone packed with a total of six cameras and various other aspects that made it unique. If the track record is anything to go by, we should be seeing a device that stands apart from the completion.
