Vivo Y72 5G with Dimensity 700 chipset, 5000mAh battery launched

22 March 2021 0

Vivo has officially launched a new mid-range smartphone named Vivo Y72 5G in Thailand. It is a 5G capable device available at relatively affordable pricing which makes it a good option for buyers on a limited budget. The phone further has a triple-camera setup and a big battery to keep the lights on.

The Vivo Y72 5G sports a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a dot-like notch. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor capable of providing 5G connectivity. There is only one configuration option: 8GB of RAM with 128GB onboard storage. The good thing is that there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion purposes.

The triple rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The selfie shooter on the device is a 16-megapixel sensor housed within the notch. The battery capacity on the smartphone is 5,000mAh and it will be running FuntouchOS 11.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.

The pricing of the Vivo Y72 5G is set at THB 9,999 (about $323) for the sole 8GB/128GB option. It will be available in Dream Glow and Graphite Black color options. The smartphone will go on sale starting March 31st but international availability plans are currently unknown.
