OnePlus 9 series has finally gone official after floods of leaks and rumors. The series includes OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro and the company took the wraps off them at a special online event. The OnePlus 9 Pro is the mightiest and it comes with additional features and specifications
The main highlight of the event was its partnership with Hasselblad and how OnePlus was able to deliver a top-notch and high-quality camera on the OnePlus 9 series. This is the first time that OnePlus has channelized all of its energy towards improving the camera quality of its phones, so it makes sense to hear a lot about the same.
OnePlus claims the colors have been tuned to look more natural, thanks to natural color calibration codeveloped with Hasselblad. OnePlus has also added a Hasselblad Pro Mode that gives additional control over photography settings.
While the power of Hasselblad cameras has been added to both the phones, the Pro model gets more features and is infused with special capabilities. The OnePlus 9 Pro can shoot up to 8K at 30fps, 4K at 120fps, and has an enhanced Nightscape Video mode for filming in low light. The main camera of the OnePlus 9 Pro is a 48MP IMX789 sensor. It features dual native ISO, Digital Overlap HDR, OIS. OnePlus touts that the sensor can produce 12-bit RAW images. The secondary sensor is also from Sony and that is the 50MP IMX766 sensor.
The OnePlus 9 Pro shares a lot many things in common with the non-Pro model with a few differences. It features a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED (3216 x 1440p) display and carries quad rear cameras. The only difference is it also includes an 8MP telephoto lens. It also supports 50W wireless charging. The display supports adaptive 120Hz refresh, which means it can adjust the refresh rate according to the apps. It also supports MEMC and automatic color temperature adjustment.
OnePlus 9 Pro comes in Stellar Black, Morning Mist, and Pine Green color options, whereas the OnePlus 9 comes in Winter Mist, Arctic Sky, Astral Black colors.
OnePlus announced the price tags of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro for the US, Europe, and Indian markets.
