Oppo A74 4G and A74 5G with 18W fast charging, Snapdragon SoCs launched

Oppo has quietly launched the A74 and A74 5G phones in select regions. Both the phones have certain similarities but they do have a couple of key differences.

The Oppo A74 4G comes powered by the Snapdragon 662 processor, whereas the 5G variant gets the Snapdragon 480 processor. The 4G variant gets the triple rear setup, the 5G gets the quad-camera setup on the rear.

The Oppo A74 4G has a 48MP primary sensor, 2MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP macro shooter. The 5G variant gets all these sensors and an additional 8MP sensor. Both the phones carry a 16MP front sensor with an f/2.4 lens.


The 4G variant gets a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, while the 5G gets a slightly larger 6.5-inch display and 90Hz refresh rate.

Both the phones have dual SIM and run on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on the top. They come with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage that is expandable via a microSD card. They both feature a 5,000mAH battery with 18W fast charging. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

Oppo has listed the A74 4G on its official Oppo Cambodia website but its pricing has not been shared. But the listing on Shopee in the Philippines shows the phone is priced at PHP 11,999 for the sole 6GB+128GB storage variant. It is currently up for pre-orders in Midnight Blue and Prism Black color options. The website states the phone will start shipping in 7 days.

Taking about the 5G variant, the phone is listed on Shopee and Lazada in Thailand for THB 8,999. There are two color options – Fluid Black and Space Silver colors for 6GB+ 128GB storage variant. The phone is already available for purchase.
