HP has announced the new 2021 Chromebook x360 14c notebook in the United States. It is an upgraded variant of the model with the same name but launched last year. It comes with hardware improvements that make it a good choice for anyone looking for a new Chromebook to purchase in 2021.
The all-new Chromebook x360 14c sports a 14-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is a convertible laptop with stylus support so that you can use it in your desired or required form factor. It has the 11th-generation 4.1GHz Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors coupled with 8GB of DDR4 RAM. It is available with 128GB of onboard storage which can be expanded further using microSD cards. There is also a variant with 256GB of SSD storage.
The notebook has an HD camera for handling video call sessions. The good is that the webcam features a privacy cover that you can use to cover the camera for privacy reasons. The connectivity options include two USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, and a microphone/headphone jack. It also has a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication purposes.
The battery capacity is unknown but is claimed to last for up to 10.5 hours on a single charge. This relatively lower than the predecessor which was said to deliver 13.5 hours of battery life. It has support for fast charging that will let you charge the notebook from 0 to 50% within just 45 minutes.
As for the pricing, HP has priced the Chromebook x360 c14 (2021) at $650 for the base model. It is available for purchase through Best Buy and HP's online store in the United States.
